About Open Source Ventilator.org
March 22, 2020
Hello from Montreal, Canada!
In consideration of the major shortage of life-saving ventilators in North America this website was originally created on March 17, 2020, as an initiative to design and validate an open source ventilator that can be mass produced as fast as possible to help in fighting Covid-19.
Since then it became evident that other initiatives aiming to achieve the same goal were well established or emerging, and merit to be known by all those who find this site. I'm not seeking to add noise to this very important endeavour, thus I pivoted the vocation of this site to a resource by quickly compiling some links about various ventilator initiatives, and other relevant information that you might find helpful. If you would like to contribute in keeping the content of this site up to date, relevant, and accurate, or if you have suggestions to improve it please get in touch via the contact form.
Last but not least, the domain opensourceventilator.org will gladly be donated if needed to centralize efforts in this fight. If you think your organization needs it please get in touch.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow.
PS: Elon, thanks for helping out!
